In implementing instructions from Tsai Ching-Hsiang, the Minister of Justice, the AEA is pursuing not only quantitative achievements, but also pursuing the core value of “justice and care” behind these outcomes and legal education to encourage the public to be law-abiding.August 2 during the nationwide joint auctions held on the “first” “Tuesday” of every month, starting at “3” p.m., the premier of the AEA’s first IG video titled “Legal Compliance, Justice and Public Convenience” portrays the kindness in execution and justice which benefits the AEA’s image.
In the video, Lin Chin-Tsong, the Director-General Lin of AEA, showcased various AEA enforcement actions. In the past 21 years, thanks to the joint efforts of colleagues, the total arrears collected have exceeded NT$620 billion. To achieve justice, obligors who maliciously refuse to make payments or deliberately engage in fraudulent transfers of their assets will be arrested, subject to the custody, and/or other mandatory legal actions. To protect the physical and mental well-being of the general public and the safety of passersby, AEA has not only established a special office to deal with fines due to violations of pandemic management regulations, but also implemented the use of technology in enforcing cases involving the violation of traffic regulations such as driving under influence. AEA’s strong enforcement demonstrates the  Taiwanese government’s determination to crack down on major debtors, violators of pandemic management regulations, and stem out driving under influence. With regard to vulnerable obligors, the AEA will adopt timely relief measures to assist obligors to make payments in installments to help them fulfill their obligations.
AEA also offers several creative and convenient measures for the general public such as the joint auction held on the “first” “Tuesday” of every month, starting at “3” p.m. by AEA’s 13 branches nationwide. The joint auction held every month has a catchy name and is well-received by the general public, making it one of the most anticipated events for all.In addition, obligors can make payments for their arrears at nearby convenience stores. We also provide measures to convenience obligors in applying for the scrapping procedure of the motorcycle. We also have the “Enforcement Auction Clairvoyance System,” which has 360-degree VR to help buyers clearly examine the auctioned items they are interested in on the Internet as if they are personally present at the auction. Buyers can also use participate in communication bidding so that they can purchase the items they want from the comfort and safety of their homes without being affected by the epidemic.
Moreover, to take advantage of the professionalism and high efficiency of the AEA in the sales of property rights, each AEA branch has expanded its scope of work since September 2021 to handle seizures both during investigations requested by the prosecutors’ office and after the final judgment, especially the seizures,  confiscations, and auction of illicit gains of criminal engaged in fraud or corruption. As of today, the conclusion of the auction has exceeded NT$450 million. With the never-ending auctions organized and held by all AEA branches, we aspire to become a role model for cooperation and achieve social justice.
The production and debut of the IG video “Legal Compliance, Justice and Public Convenience” aims at bridging the gap between the general public and the AEA to help promote the concept of law-abidance among corporations, enterprises, and the general public, allowing everyone to prioritize law abidance and fulfill their obligations to directly benefit individuals and companies, which achieves core values of “justice and care”.
