The joint auction held on the “first” “Tuesday” of every month, starting at “3” p.m. By the Administrative Enforcement Agency (AEA), Ministry of Justice was opened on October 3 in the midst of the arrival of the typhoon “Koinu”. However, the general public enthusiastically visited the auction locations to make their bids, in which a total action income of NT$422,057,923 was collected, signifying the outstanding results not only solving the debts of obligors, but also effectively providing financial resources for the national treasury, creating the win-win benefits for both the government and the general public.

The total bid amount of real properties reached NT$415,688,766. The one that attracted the most attention was the joint cooperation between the prosecution and  administrative enforcement systems which auctioned items illegally obtained by the crimes of scam groups that are deeply hated by local citizens. Among them, the Shilin Branch was entrusted by the Miaoli District Prosecutor's Office to auction the property owned by Huang the person in charge of the “Hongfuhai Group,” who called himself “Tairen Spiritual Mentor” and opened a spiritual ashram at the end of 2003 using the model of high interest rates and direct selling to collect a large amount of money, and in just 7 years, nearly 8,000 people were convinced to “invest” using their money, and more than NT$19.8 billion was taken due to the scam.

The Shilin Branch also auctioned four commercial buildings located in the “Antai Dengfeng Community” in Tamsui District, New Taipei City. Since this was the third auction, the price was far lower than the market price, which attracted lots of people to compete for bids and the final price reached NT$90.1 million. In addition, there were 4 mansions located in the “Puyuan Shui Diaoge Community” in Beitou District, Taipei City, which were close to the Mingde MRT Station with transportation convenience and proximity to the Tianmu business district providing excellent life functions and there were also parking spaces, and a bid price of NT$130.4 million was reached.

Further, the Kaohsiung Branch auctioned a total of 7 pieces of lands and buildings in Daliao District, Kaohsiung City, with an upset price of at least NT$80 million. Finally, the mortgagee, the Kaohsiung Daliao District Farmers’ Association, obtained the ownership of such real estate with a price of NT$180 million. In addition, the Kaohsiung Branch auctioned a three-story house located in Qianzhen District, Kaohsiung City, whose first floor was a temple for worshiping the goddess “Mazu” from Taiwanese folk belief. Because the former owner (surnamed Yu) owed the NHI premium and car fuel usage fees, the Mazu along with her home fell into foreclosure, and the second auction on October 3 finally found "the destined person” who was a private creditor that paid a relatively affordable price of NT$2.77 million.

As for personal properties, the total auction amount reached NT$6,369,157 as visitors actively making bids. The Shilin Branch auctioned the TAYCAN 4S fully electric four-door Porsche sports car purchased by the founder (surnamed Huang) of a digital asset management platform, who was suspected of illegally collecting money. The car was manufactured in December 2020 with an original price of nearly NT$5 million. Because of the bright and gorgeous model, the spacious and comfortable interior setting, and the fully-technological texture of equipment. A total of 11 groups of bidders joined the bidding and after 41 rounds of fierce bidding, the car was finally successfully auctioned for NT$4.28 million.

The Changhua Branch held the “Guashan Foreclosure Market” integrating items of food and drinks, clothing, housing and transportation. In addition to the finely crafted purple clay pots worth collecting for experts, there was also the iconic “vehicle” for “Speed Demons” who put emphasis on coolness over speed, which is 2017 Yamaha XV950. Such motorcycle had a feature of retro American hippie style and the two-cylinder sound was sonorous and gave off a calm and restrained atmosphere, attracting visitors to compete for bids and a final price of NT$260,000 was reached. The Changhua Branch office also set up a area for charity sale, where colleagues of the Branch voluntarily donated used items in good condition for charity where the income would be donated for the purpose of care for the elderly during the Double Ninth Festival, allowing the general public to be aware that the public sector was pursuing justice while also caring for the disadvantaged and truly understanding the hardships of the citizens in a empathizing and heartwarming manner. The rest of the properties auctioned included wines of renowned brands, several cars, motorcycles, and stock certificates, etc., which were widely favored by the general public and were sold out soon after the auction began.
