The branches of the Administrative Enforcement Agency (AEA) of the Ministry of
Justice held the joint auction on the “first” “Tuesday” of every month, starting at “3” p.m.
As September being the month to be back to school, each branch presented many
affordable and useful goods to attract the general public to make their bids, and the total
auction amount reached NT$100,020,927, which was all delivered to the national treasury.
In addition, AEA actively implemented the MOJ's policy of strictly fighting against major
crimes involving crime syndicates, finance, weaponry, drugs, fraud, and obstruction of
green energy and national land, and fully cooperated with the prosecutor's instructions to
auction off the goods of criminal actions at various prices, and organized anti-fraud and
drug activities before the auction to educate the general public to resolutely reject drugs,
be aware of fraud, and protect their own health and property.
The total bid amount of real properties reached NT$93,012,316. The highest auction
price came from the Shilin Branch, reaching NT$54,018,888 for the land jointly owned by
the Ancestor Worship Guild in Nangang District, Taipei City. The item auctioned was
located at the place opposite Academia Sinica and was only a 5-minute drive from the
Nangang Exhibition Hall, which was a prime location in Taipei City, and attracted 2
groups of buyers to bid competitively, reaching a premium of more than NT$3.67 million.
In addition, the Kaohsiung Branch auctioned a 68-ping empty house with two parking
spaces on the top floor located in Renwu District, Kaohsiung City. Since it was the fourth
auction, the upset price was already several million lower than the registered price. After
the auction was settled, the final auction price reached an affordable amount of
NT$27,399,999. Other branches have also sold several high-quality real properties.
The total amount of property auctioned reached NT$7,008,611. The most eyecatching item
was undoubtedly the 2018 light purple convertible Porsche auctioned by the
Taichung Branch under the entrustment of the prosecutor, which reached a final auction
price of NT$1.81 million. In addition, the Taipei Branch auctioned for NT$1.187 million
the right to use of 27 wall niches at the Beihai columbarium owned by an obligor
surnamed Yang who owned large amount of arrears. The Yilan Branch Office auctioned a
0.72-ton motor sampan seized by the prosecutor in investigating the drug smuggling case.
Because the vessel was in good condition and equipped with a Suzuki outboard motor, a
marine GPS satellite navigation system, batteries and fuel tanks, the bidders made a total
of 51 bids enthusiastically, and the final auction price was NT$281,000. The Chiayi
Branch cooperated with the Taiwan After-Care Association Chiayi Branch to set up a stall
to organize the "Anti-Drug and Fraud" event to promote the "Three Steps to Anti-Fraud
and Drug" to the general public, and also sold antibacterial handmade soaps, children’s
socks, almond tea, potato cakes, and handmade raw wontons which attracted people to
make their bids enthusiastically. The proceeds would be used for paying tax arrears,
demonstrating the core values of "justice" and "caring" of AEA. Other properties
