Despite the arrival of “Krathon” The total highest-bidding amount made from the AEA joint auction was around NT$95,180,000.

The branch of the Administrative Enforcement Agency of the Ministry of Justice
(AEA) holds a nationwide joint auction on the “first” “Tuesday” of every month, starting
at “3” p.m. on October 1, in which despite the unpleasant weather across Taiwan, the
general public still demonstrated high enthusiasm in participating in the auction. Although
the AEA branches in Tainan, Kaohsiung, Pingtung and Hualien suspended their office
hours and did not hold the auction due to the incoming severe typhoon, the total auction
amount still reached NT$95,189,960, which made effective contribution to the national
treasury.
The total bid amount of real estate reached NT$93,483,678. The highest auction
amount was from the Taipei Branch, which was NT$41,853,556 for four parcels of urban
planning premises of a construction company located in the third subsection of the
Gongxun section in Wenshan District, Taipei City. The Yilan Branch auctioned a 3-story
house located in Jiaoxi Township, Yilan County. The total area of the building was about
177.5 square meters. The first floor was for the purpose of lounge and KTV. There were a
total of 7 hot spring suites on the second and third floors, including beds, TVs, and
refrigerators. A total of 6 groups of bidders from Taoyuan, New Taipei, Yilan and other
counties and cities across Taiwan participated in the bidding, and the final auction price
reached NT$19.68 million. The Taichung Branch auctioned the land ownership located at
the Guoan Section of Xitun District, Taichung City for NT$13.87 million. The Hsinchu
Branch auctioned for more than NT$6.74 million three parcels of land located at Guanxi
Township, Hsinchu County, which was owned by the obligor surnamed WEN who owed a
great amount of arrears. Other branches have also sold several high-quality real properties.
The total amount of property auctioned reached NT$1,706,282. The most eyecatching
auction was undoubtedly the “Ten Thousand Bottles of Kinmen Sorghum
Liquor” held by the Taipei Branch. The sorghum liquor was “Chaoming Temple Memorial
Liquor” and was produced by the Kinmen Royal Liquor Co., Ltd. in May 2018, with the
ABV of 58%. In addition, the Taipei Branch auctioned for NT$856,000 the right to use of
52 wall niches at the Beihai Columbarium owned by the obligor surnamed YANG who
owned large amount of arrears. Furthermore, by complying with the policy philosophy of
“Justice and Care” of the Ministry of Justice, the Shilin Branch launched the “One-day
Happy Dessert Flashmob” event, which invited obligors to set up stalls on site and cheered
for these obligors. An anti-fraud publicity event was held on site together with the Dahu
Police Station of Neihu Precinct of Taipei City Government Police Department to educate
the public to be alert and always against fraud to protect their own health and property
safety. Other properties auctioned by the other Branches include several cars, computers,
communication, and consumer electronics, household appliances, and physical stock
certificates.
