In order to deprive the illicit proceeds, implement the new system of confiscation of
the Criminal Code, enforce the national public power, and maintain social fairness and
justice, the branches of the Administrative Enforcement Agency of the Ministry of
Justice (AEA) not only continue to cooperate with the prosecutors’ agencies to
accelerate the “disposal of seized property during investigation and upon the finalization
of the judgment”, it also actively organize and handle the auction of the property of the
obligors subject to administrative enforcement, so as to recover more claims of public
claims for the state, implement the government's public power, and ensure the
realization of national public claims. On March 4, 2025, the branches of AEA held the
grand joint auction held on the “first” “Tuesday” of every month, starting at “3” p.m.
offering a variety of auctioned items that attracted the general public to make bid
enthusiastically, and the total amount of successful auctions reached a fruitful
NT$162,088,487.
The total amount of real estate auctioned reached NT$160,888,542. The real estate
with the highest auction amount and the attracted the most attention was the 8
connecting commercial and office buildings near the MRT Hongshulin Station auctioned
by the Shilin Branch under the entrustment of the Miaoli District Prosecutors’ Office,
and was owned by the person in-charge of the Hongfuhai Group, who illegally collected
tens of billions of money. The houses are located at the “Antai Dengfeng Community”,
which is a commercial and office building at the opposite side of the MRT Hongshulin
Station and close to the estuary of the Tamsui River. Each house has 1 to 2 flat parking
spaces. It was their second auction, which was divided into 8 individual bids. Among
them, 4 items were successfully auctioned for more than NT$16.71 million, 18.53
million, 17.09 million, and 15.01 million respectively, with a total of auction amount of
more than NT$67.36 million. The other 4 items were scheduled by the Shilin Branch for
the third auction on April 1. The second highest amount was from the Shilin Branch's
auction of a large 19-story residence on Xintai 5th Road in Xizhi District, New Taipei
City, with an area of approximately 354.71 square meters (m²). It was successfully
auctioned at its second auction for NT$35.88 million. Furthermore, the Pingtung Branch
auctioned a fish farm located at the Xitong section of Fangshan Township, Pingtung
County, which was its fourth auction and finally auctioned at a premium of
NT$27,788,000. Other branches also successfully auctioned several high-quality real
estates.
The total amount of property auctioned reached NT$1,199,945. The highest auction
amount was NT$320,000 for a grab truck with a vehicle age of over 30 years old
auctioned by the Kaohsiung Branch. Other branches have also successfully auctioned a
wide range of properties worth more than their prices, including motorcycles, cars, rings,
clothing, rice, investments, and physical certificates of stocks of Sunny Bank and Huatai
Bank.
