The Administrative Enforcement Agency of the Ministry of Justice (AEA) stated that it has
recently received several calls from the general public and company accounting staff reporting
that they have received notices on their personal LINE and company emails issued in the
name of the "Administrative Enforcement Agency of the Ministry of Justice" for
administrative enforcement of "tax-related" cases, which required then to click to download
details of fines, etc. AEA hereby solemnly declares that these LINE messages and emails are
fraudulent messages impersonating AEA, and requires everyone to be careful to verify and
avoid being deceived.
AEA emphasizes that itself and its branches will never send messages through email, LINE,
or Facebook, etc. to notify obligors to pay, nor will they require remittances through informal
channels or private accounts. Anyone receiving any suspicious notice or having any questions
can directly call the AEA verification hotline at (02) 2633-1266, or use the official site
(https://www.tpk.moj.gov.tw), or dial 104, please check the contact information and correct
phone number of each branch at the directory inquiries, and then call each branch to confirm
whether there are any enforcement cases under process to protect your own rights and interests.
AEA also calls on the general public to raise their awareness of fraud prevention and not
to click on links with unknown messages, provide any personal information, or conduct any
monetary transactions. If encountering any suspected fraud, please immediately call the
National Police Agency’s 165 anti-fraud hotline for instructions, or report the case to the local
police agency to jointly prevent fraud crimes and protect the safety of your own property.
