Today (February 3), the various branches of the
Administrative Enforcement Agency (AEA), Ministry of Justice,
held the nationwide “123 Joint Auction” (held on the “first”
“Tuesday” of every month, starting at “3” p.m.). In addition to
intensifying enforcement against major debtor cases, the branches
actively cooperated with district prosecutors’ offices in auctioning
seized assets. Coinciding with the period ahead of the Lunar New
Year, this auction was expanded in scale and featured a wide range
of auction items, attracting enthusiastic bidding from the public.
The venue was filled with strong buying momentum and a festive
New Year atmosphere. The total amount from the conclusion of
the auctions reached NT$37,400,515.
The most eye-catching highlight of this joint auction was
the inaugural luxury goods auction related to the “Prince
Holding Group” fraud case, organized by the Shilin Branch at
the request of the Taipei District Prosecutors Office. Among the
seized items, a Hermès Birkin bag made of matte crocodile
leather in a lemon-yellow tone attracted the greatest attention
and was ultimately concluded at a high price of NT$840,000. In
addition, a Stefano Ricci bag was concluded at NT$165,000. Other
auctioned items included various second-hand luxury bags from
brands such as Chrome Hearts, Goyard, Prada, Balenciaga, and
Diesel, as well as second-hand Jordan and Nike sneakers and
cigars. The total amount realized from these sales exceeded NT$1.7
million, underscoring the Ministry of Justice’s determination to
combat crime and safeguard the rights and interests of victims.
Meanwhile, the highest single auction amount of the day was
recorded by the Taoyuan Branch, which, at the request of the
Taoyuan District Prosecutors Office, auctioned a storefrontstyle building on the ground floor of the “Yajue Lizhi
Community” in Zhongli District that had been seized in
connection with a violation of the Banking Act. The property
was concluded at NT$11,510,800. Located near a freeway
interchange with convenient transportation access, the property was
offered at its third auction and was sold at a highly attractive price.
In addition, at the request of the Yunlin District Prosecutors
Office, the Taichung Branch auctioned assets seized in
connection with a defendant’s alleged violation of the Waste
Disposal Act, including two imported, well-known brand Scania
white commercial cargo tractors and one SHEENG HOAI–
brand commercial semi-trailer. All vehicles were less than three
years old. The assets were offered as a combined lot and
concluded at NT$5.65 million. The items had previously been
offered in the first auction on January 6, 2026, without a successful
conclusion. After the Yunlin District Prosecutors Office further
coordinated with the mortgage holder and the defendant to lower
the floor price, a second auction was conducted. With the branch’s
proactive outreach to major transportation associations, the auction
ultimately reached the floor price and concluded successfully.
The branches have continued to intensify enforcement against
major debtor cases. The New Taipei Branch auctioned one parcel
of land located in Linkou District, New Taipei City, owned by a
major debtor surnamed Lin, concluding at NT$301,000. The
debtor had accumulated substantial arrears in personal income tax
on house and land transactions and tax on price of land, among
other taxes. The property failed to conclude in the first and second
auctions; in this third auction, it was successfully concluded by the
Zhulinshan Guanyin Temple in New Taipei City, a well-attended
and renowned scenic destination. In addition, the Kaohsiung
Branch auctioned one parcel of land located in Niaosong
District, Kaohsiung City, owned by an obligor company in the
technology sector, concluding at NT$9,065,000. The company
had accumulated significant arrears in business tax and was subject
to enforcement. This auction marked the fourth auction, which
ultimately concluded successfully. Furthermore, the Yilan
Branch auctioned a resort suite located in Wujie Township,
Yilan County, owned by an obligor surnamed Qin, concluding
at NT$1,364,480. The obligor had outstanding house tax arrears
exceeding NT$1.91 million, ranking first in unpaid house taxes in
Yilan County. After one unit was concluded in January 2026 but
proved insufficient to fully settle the tax arrears, the branch
conducted the third auction of the remaining unit. Following this
conclusion, the outstanding house tax arrears were fully satisfied.
The Administrative Enforcement Agency stated that the
nationwide “123 Joint Auction” is held simultaneously at each
branch on the “first” “Tuesday” of every month, starting at “3” p.m.

Act. The assets were offered as a combined lot and concluded at
NT$5.65 million.
