The various branches of the Administrative Enforcement
Agency (AEA), Ministry of Justice, held on the “first” “Tuesday”
of every month, starting at “3” p.m. on March 3, 2026. Movable
and immovable properties seized by the branches and district
prosecutors offices were put up for auction and disposal.
Coinciding with the Lantern Festival, the event drew enthusiastic
participation from the public, with a total auction amount
reaching NT$37,266,409. Including the luxury vehicles auctioned
the previous day by the Taipei Branch upon request, the total
amount reached NT$473,886,409.
The highly anticipated auction of 33 luxury vehicles seized in
the “Prince Holding Group” fraud case was held by the Taipei
Branch on March 2 at the Taiwan Police College, marking the
prelude to this “first” “Tuesday” of every month, starting at “3”
p.m. In addition to the lively bidding on site, prosecutors and police
also took the opportunity to conduct anti-fraud awareness
campaigns, reminding members of the public how to avoid falling
victim to scams. Among the auction items, two of the four highly
sought-after supercars were successfully sold. The Porsche 918
Spyder was concluded at NT$56 million, while the Ferrari
LaFerrari was concluded at NT$135 million. In total, 24 vehicles
were sold, generating auction proceeds of NT$436.62 million.
Combating fraud and money laundering is a key priority of the
government. Through the mechanism of early-stage disposal
during criminal investigations, the value of seized assets can be
effectively preserved from depreciation over time, and the
proceeds from auctions can be deposited into the national
treasury or reserved for future restitution to victims, thereby
demonstrating a concrete commitment to judicial justice. On
March 3, other branches also auctioned a variety of vehicles. The
Taoyuan Branch and Taichung Branch both concluded auctions of
Japanese-brand SUVs. Meanwhile, a TOYOTA ALPHARD hybrid
seven-seater passenger vehicle—widely regarded as a top choice
among business executives—was sold by the Kaohsiung Branch for
NT$1.72 million after attracting competitive bidding.
During this auction, the Shilin Branch and Hualien Branch
disposed of fashion items, with various clothing pieces attracting
members of the public to browse and purchase. The Pingtung
Branch auctioned equipment seized in connection with violations of
the Act Governing Food Safety and Sanitation, including steam
boilers and stainless-steel flip tables. In addition, due to the failure
of a well-known cram school operator surnamed Lin to
continue making installment payments, the capital contribution
of a certain company held by the guarantor was auctioned by
the Yilan Branch and concluded at NT$9 million, once again
demonstrating the Agency’s strengthened enforcement against
major debtors. In terms of real estate, two buildings and four
parcels of land located in Longtan District, Taoyuan City, near
Shimen Reservoir, were auctioned by the Taoyuan Branch and
concluded at approximately NT$3.27 million and NT$15.58
million, respectively. A parcel of jointly owned land in
Chencuoliao Section, Minxiong Township, Chiayi County, was
auctioned by the Chiayi Branch and concluded at approximately
NT$540,000. Land located in Dashu Township and Niaosong
Township, Kaohsiung City, was auctioned by the Kaohsiung
Branch and concluded at approximately NT$230,000. The joint
auction achieved fruitful results, marking a strong start to the Lunar
New Year in the Year of the Horse.
