On May 5, 2026, the various branches of the Administrative
Enforcement Agency (AEA), Ministry of Justice, grandly held the
nationwide “123 Joint Auction” (held on the “first” “Tuesday” of
every month, starting at “3” p.m.). Coinciding with the period before
Mother’s Day, each branch presented a wide variety of quality items
for the public to bid on, including real estate, movable property, and
many other items, fully meeting the diverse needs of the public and
offering an excellent opportunity to select gifts for mothers. The
total amount from the conclusion of the auctions reached
NT$213,551,924.
The most notable highlight of this joint auction was the
Hsinchu Branch’s auction of land parcels No. 723 and No. 724 in
Jinshan Section, Hsinchu City, owned by a major debtor
surnamed Su. The properties were concluded at NT$137.64
million. In this case, the heirs were in arrears for estate tax exceeding
NT$100 million. Some heirs filed administrative remedies, but the
case was ultimately dismissed and finalized by the Supreme
Administrative Court. As the heirs still failed to pay within the
prescribed period, the National Taxation Bureau referred the case to
the Hsinchu Branch for enforcement. This was the first auction of the
properties. Located in a residential zone under urban planning and
near the Science Park, the properties have strong investment
potential and were concluded at a high price in the first auction. In
addition, the Taipei Branch auctioned land in Longquan Section,
Da’an District, Taipei City, and a building on Section 3,
Xinsheng South Road owned by Koto ○ko, concluding at
NT$37.01 million. The obligor was referred for enforcement due to
arrears in tax on price of land and house tax. This was the third
auction of the properties, with a floor price of NT$30.5 million. Due
to their strong potential advantages, the properties were ultimately
concluded at a high price. Furthermore, the Yilan Branch auctioned
two flat parking spaces in the “Tong Xin Yuan Community” on
Jijin 1st Road, Anle District, Keelung City, owned by Xin ○ Jie
Construction Co., Ltd., the largest tax debtor in the Keelung area.
The auction concluded at NT$1.902 million. This was the first
auction, with a floor price of NT$1.77 million. The accessible price
attracted buyers, resulting in enthusiastic bidding and a final highprice conclusion.
For movable property auctions, the Taichung Branch
auctioned a white TOYOTA pickup truck manufactured in
November 2022. The auction was conducted without a floor price,
and after enthusiastic on-site bidding, the vehicle was ultimately
concluded at NT$1 million. In addition, the branches have
continued to support the government’s anti-fraud policy by actively
handling cases entrusted by prosecutorial authorities for auction. The
Pingtung Branch, at the request of the Taiwan Pingtung District
Prosecutors Office, auctioned the “Sheng Cheng Tsai No. 3”
fishing vessel, which was ultimately concluded at NT$820,000.
The item is a powered fishing vessel with a gross tonnage of 16.69
tons, and this was its second auction. Furthermore, at the request of
the Taiwan Shilin District Prosecutors Office, the Shilin Branch
auctioned 15,608.57627 units of Tether (USDT) seized in a
suspected fraud case, with the conclusion amount reaching
NT$494,000.
